The Roots deserve this award. It’s a risk to say they’ll win with all the big names in this category, but I think the Grammy voters are willing to take that jump this year. The Roots it is.

As in a few other categories, I am stuck between two nominees. I think 50 Cent and Outkast both deserve this award but they can't tie can they? Its happened before but I can't see it happening again. While I feel that Outkast is the stronger CD as a whole, I think 50 Cent is the better rap CD so he is my pick. Put an asterick there though as Eminem didn't have a release this year since this is always his award.
