I pledge my vote to our friends in Hoobastank with The Reason. I could tell it was an undeniable hit when I first heard it at radio. The guys are good peeps and I hope they can be recognized for their beautiful song.

With all respect to Mayer and Hoobastank, I think its going to come down to Kanye, Tim McGraw, and Alicia Keys. "If I Ain't Got You" is another terrific Keys song but not as strong as "Fallen" was so no sweep in her future this time around. I think Tim McGraw steals this award over a more deserving Kanye West, who turns into this year's Evanescence.

The Hook on this track is incredible and his vocal delivery is intense as hell.
